PROJECT SERVE

Didn't get a chance to be part of our spring break mission trip? Or maybe you loved that experience so much you want to serve more? Put on your work gloves! A key component of the life of a Jesus-follower is serving others. Here is an opportunity for you to do just that.

On Saturday, May 7, we will head out to King Solomon Christian Camp to undertake various projects to help their staff prepare for hosting summer camps. Our primary tasks will be basic cleaning, hauling brush/limbs, putting down mulch, weed eating, and other outdoor clean-up.

Afterward, we'll head into Salina for some fun and to eat supper.

 

Schedule

8:45am - Meet @ UCC Youth Building

9:00 - Departure

10:00-noon - Work

12-1pm - Lunch

1-3 - Work

3:00 - Clean up/Change clothes

3:30 - Head to Salina

4:00 - Fun Activity

5:30 - Supper

6:30 - Head Home

7:30 - Arrive @ UCC

How much does it cost?
To pay for meals and the fun activity, we are asking each person to pay $20.

Do I need to fill out any forms?

Each participant will need a current (dated within 1 year) UCC Medical Release Form.

What should you wear & bring?

• For working outdoors, wear pants, possibly even long sleeves, & a hat

• Everyone should wear closed-toe shoes

• Reusable water bottle

• Sunscreen

• A change of clothes (including socks) for the fun activity to follow
